What is a proxy?

Web Proxies are starting to get more valuable in today’s internet era. Schools, Businesses and even countries have a tendency to block websites these days. You are at school to learn, not to surf Google, Bebo, Facebook, Youtube, etc. This is the main reason schools will block these sites. The workplace might ban web surfing because you are at work to work, no email your friends, chat online, read the news etc. Web Proxies might be able to allow you to slip past these filters and view the sites in your browser even though it is blocked or banned in your network.

When using a website proxy it will use its own ip address, hiding the ip address of you the end user. Through an anonymous proxy, all web related activities can be done normally, like browsing, chatting, sending and receiving e-mails, transferring files, and more.
